We design the exact electrical configuration for your underwater system’s needs. We consider the necessary custom energy capacity, power ratings, voltage response, operating temperatures & magnetic signature. In order to reduce waste & costs, we also determine the feasibility and economics of rechargeable and non-rechargeable battery cell chemistries for your application.
After sourcing the appropriate battery cells, we fabricate each pack with the exact geometry & topology for the particular enclosure, whether it be the hull of a Seaglider or enclosed in a separate pressure housing.
Battery cells are spot welded together using pure nickel strips to ensure high corrosion resistance over time.
In addition to taping stacks of cells end to end and assembling stacks with permanently elastic adhesive with very high bond strength, battery packs are held together with heat-shrink tubing.
