Akvaplan-niva is taking part in a study of offshore ecosystems using the latest autonomous technology. On this past Sunday, 28 April, Akvaplan-niva deployed the Kongsberg Maritime Seaglider from Hydroid, Inc., pictured here leaving the port in Tromso. Cyprus Subsea is proud to be supporting the project with glider maintenance and operations (launch, recovery, piloting). The study is funded by 2 projects: the GLIDER project (Research Council of Norway & Conocophillips Norge) and the STRESSOR project (Research Council of Norway) led by the University of Tromso.
