Cyprus Subsea would like to congratulate Antoine Perrin, the skipper of boat prototype 850, for completing the 22nd edition of La Mini-Transat La Boulangère.

Antoine realized his dream of sailing across the Atlantic Ocean having crossed the finish line in Le Marin, Martinica last year.

He experienced some difficult moments during the race while crossing the Atlantic Ocean alone in the 6.5 meter sailing boat. Without any help, he solved electrical problems and technical issues with his rudders. While these issues limited his boat’s performance, it did not help that an important component also broke. He learnt much about overcoming adversity and himself during his solo voyage across the Atlantic.

After countless hours and much sacrifice, Antoine and Victor Turpin built the ultra-light 6.5 m offshore racing boat made entirely of carbon and equipped with a mast and a pivoting keel.

They plan to continue sailing. Antoine plans to race Course Les Sables from Les Açores to Les Sables this summer 2020, and Victor will be at the start line for La Mini-Transat La Boulangère in 2021!
